Vaavud's mission

Our mission is to provide high-resolution, personalized weather information.

Our story

We started with the idea of giving kitesurfers and windsurfers an easy and precise way to share wind information from remote surf spots, but it quickly became clear that we were onto something much bigger. Our users include sailors, paragliders, scientists, farmers, drone-flyers, and many others. The data from the wind meters is combined with a range of other measurements to create hyper-local, high-resolution weather forecasts.
